Boeing B17 Flying Fortress Geocoin

The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is a four-engined heavy bomber developed in the 1930s for the United States Army Air Corps. Competing against Douglas and Martin for a contract to build 200 bombers, the Boeing entry outperformed both competitors and exceeded the Air Corps' performance specifications. Although Boeing lost the contract because the prototype crashed, the Air Corps ordered 13 more B-17s for further evaluation. From its introduction in 1938, the B-17 Flying Fortress evolved through numerous design advances, becoming the third-most produced bomber of all time, behind the four-engined Consolidated B-24 Liberator and the multirole, twin-engined Junkers Ju 88.

A custom coin is a traditional yet unique gift to exhibit one's membership, award excellence, or commemorate a once in a lifetime event. Have your employees or club members take home a piece of the community they belong to by embossing a symbol or having your organizational values written on your custom coins.

Challenge Coins

Challenge coins have a rich history filled with bravery, perseverance, and unity. These characteristics have come to define the indomitable spirit of exceptional individuals. That is no doubt why so many military units, clubs, teams, businesses and organizations uphold the tradition of carrying Military Challenge Coins year after year.

A challenge coin is a small coin or medallion, bearing an organization's insignia or emblem and carried by the organization's members. Traditionally, they might be given to prove membership when challenged and to enhance morale. They are also collected by service members and law enforcement personnel. Historically, challenge coins were presented by unit commanders in recognition of special achievement by a member of the unit. They could also be exchanged in recognition of visits to an organization.

Geocoins

A geocoin is a metal token minted in similar fashion to a medallion, token coin, military challenge coin or wooden nickel, for use in geocaching, specifically as form of a calling card. The first geocoins were developed by Jon Stanley as a signature item to be placed in caches.
